As you may have seen in the press, a Swiss web hosting provider has been experiencing massive problems over the past few weeks, leading to a temporary total outage of all services. The ISACA Switzerland Chapter was also affected. We have already informed you about this in a brief notice.
As it was unclear how long the outage would last, the board decided to switch the provider. We have been back online for a week now and our emails are also working again. We apologise for any inconvenience caused.
In the context of changing the provider, we have decided to launch the newly designed website, which was almost completed and has been announced for some time.
In addition to a sleeker appearance, there are two significant changes for you.
- The email addresses you could use to contact us have largely disappeared from our website. The reason for this is that we were increasingly being flooded with spam and phishing emails via these contact details. Instead, we have introduced a contact form that you can use to send us your requests and questions. We will contact you as soon as possible and answer your questions.
- The member area has also disappeared. Documents that you could view in the members' area have been stored in our M365 infrastructure for some time now. Presentations from our events and documents relating to the annual general meeting are available there via temporary links. If you currently cannot access documents that you need, please send us a short message using the contact form. We will send you the requested documents as soon as possible.
Over the next few days, we will be completing the final tasks so that our website will be shining in new splendour by the holidays.
We would be delighted if you continue to make active use of our website. We welcome any suggestions for improvements.
