At the end of November, the 3rd ISACA Board ALUMNI Event took place, bringing together current and former board members of our association to create shared memories, exchange experiences and strengthen the community spirit within our association. The event began with a visit to the impressive WOW Museum in Zurich, which is known for its fascinating optical illusions and interactive experiences. As soon as we entered the museum, the excitement of all the participants was tangible. The cleverly staged rooms and illusions not only offered entertaining impressions, but also provided plenty of material for discussion about perception and perspective. It was fascinating to see how all the participants supported each other in overcoming the challenges of the illusion rooms – a symbol of the cross-generational cooperation within our association.
Afterwards, everyone went to a nearby restaurant in Niederdorf for dinner, where the relaxed atmosphere provided space for intensive discussions. The alumni shared their experiences from their time on the board, talked about challenges, successes and the valuable lessons they were able to draw from them. For the current board members, this was a unique opportunity to benefit from this wealth of experience and at the same time to gain new inspiration for their work.
It was particularly inspiring to see how working on the board had shaped the personal and professional development of the alumni. Many reported how the responsibility and teamwork they experienced at the time had prepared them for the challenges that followed and, in some cases, continue to this day.
We are already looking forward to the next board alumni event and would like to thank all participants for their openness, their contribution and the memorable evening together!
