About the Speaker

Prof. Dr. Isabell M. Welpe has been Chair of Strategy and Organization at the Technical University of Munich since 2009 and Scientific Director of the Bavarian State Institute for Higher Education Research and Planning since 2014. She studied management at Ludwig Maximilian University in Munich, MIT, and the London School of Economics. Her research focuses on the digital transformation of companies, the impact of new technologies on the economy and organizations, and the future of leadership and work design. Her work has received numerous awards, including the Best Paper Award from the Academy of Management and HICSS, and she is ranked among the top 40 leading minds in HR and digital technology by Personalmagazin and Capital. Prof. Welpe is also a board member at the Center for Digital Technology Management and a research fellow at the Center for Blockchain Technologies at University College London.
