Switzerland will receive a new data protection law. What do you need to do for this in order to be well positioned?
We start our checkup with a short introduction to data protection. Afterwards, all participants will complete a simplified data protection checkup. The questionnaire gives an assessment and helpful tips as a result. The workshop ends with an overview for a data protection roadmap.

Target group:
Employees from SMEs who are in contact with data protection in their company (with basic prior knowledge) but who are not experts.

Workshop leaders:
Bettina Schneider: Prof. Dr. Bettina Schneider is a lecturer and researcher at the University of Applied Sciences Northwestern Switzerland in the field of cybersecurity and blockchain. She has developed a data protection impact assessment tool as part of an EU-funded research project (https://project.cyber-geiger.eu/) and leads several data protection training courses for managers.

Heike Klaus: Heike Klaus is Consultant for Information Risk Management & Governance. She had different management positions at Novartis, Global IT Infrastructure, Information Governance & Management. She led the implementation of Quality Management Systems, Control Frameworks, Risk Management, Business Impact Assessment and global Processes. Beyond this, she was accountable for training and awareness campaigns in the area of Information Security, Governance Risk and Compliance. She stands for pragmatic and cost efficient implementation of compliance relevant topics.
