AHS 4|25 - Hack the Shadows: Bug Bounties, Darkweb Intel & Building Resilient Software
Robust product security protects the market, customers and the supply chain. An important factor for success is how different tools, solutions and concepts – such as bug bounty programmes, threat detection in the darknet and secure development practices – are used not only for traditional monitoring of the attack surface, but also beyond, and how they interact effectively.
Simple in theory, but in practice much more needs to be done to ensure the effective and efficient use of the tools. A healthy error culture, awareness and acceptance of external perspectives, and management support are further success factors. This AHS highlights how internal improvements can be derived from external signals and how the lessons learned process can be incorporated into development processes, what has worked well and what has not, and what real added value this creates.
